Ne-Yo's "Closer" vs Chris' "Forever" vs Usher's "OMG"
"Closer" was released as the first single from Ne-Yo's third album Year of the Gentleman. It marks a musical departure for Ne-Yo, taking on a dance-pop style over the more rhythmic and urban sound his songs usually possess.
"Forever" was selected to be released as the first single from Brown's repackaged second studio album. Exclusive: Forever Edition. he song's musical structure differs from Brown's previous work, opting for a more European techno dance sound.
"OMG" was released as the first worldwide single off Usher's sixth studio album, Raymond v. Raymond, and the fourth single overall, It is an uptempo pop song, drawing from the subgenres of dance-pop and synthpop, and is also influenced by R&B.
