I don't really care if she crosses $300m... The show only need to cross $200m to become one of the highest-grossing tours of all time and I'm happy with that.
|
That was Taiwan and they didn't change the venue because it was a second date.
My point was that is really not a big deal. As Nikko said, it comes with the benefit of a better view for the audience.
The gross looks promising anyway we look at it. And like it was being discussed, it's weird the venues that were picked for some countries if you put it in contrast with the demand and theirs populations. There are probably some details and events happening that collide with the Tour that we don't know about.

We finally got some official information about the ticket sales for the Romanian show!
There is still one month left until the show, and there are still 20.000 tickets remaining. There aren't any informations yet about a venue-change. So taking that fact, around 50% of the show is actually sold out (Around 20k tickets) and still the same number of tickets are not sol yet.
I can't give you yet and straight fact of how the number will look in a month from now, but I'm assuming the show will be actaually around 75% sold out. There isn't any other big venue in Bucharest where the concert could be held, so there are low chances that they will change the venue.
Tickets have been gone for almost 3 month on sale so I estimate (taking the fact that most tickets will be sold in the coming weeks) that the actaually attendance will be around 30k+ out of 40k (the estimated capacity) which isn't really THAT bad. So I am hoping for at least 10k sold in the next month, out of the total of 20k.

Thanks for the info, Dr.Cake. Then that means they have sold the amount of tickets to fill the arena where the show will now be held.
Watch them schedule a second date after this.

On my phone the thread title cut off after "starring" and I expected it to say "starring Bayonse and featuring Bayonse"

I see you got me wrong.
I was talking about the romanian show, which be held on the National Stadium, not about the bulgarian show.

I'm thinking she'll gross 200-250 million assuming she does 110 dates. It's gonna be hard to get 300 million, I don't think those Asia type numbers are gonna happen in North America or even Europe.

The promo is starting o get bigger every day.
There is a TV spot of the concert that rules on all national channels daily and there are also lots of posters and stuff so I can say there is definitely a lot of promo going on here.

She will near 300 million, maybe she won't top it, but I'd say 250 million is on lock. She has those two huge South African stadium shows, 2xTwickenham, Stade De France, Stade Charles-Ehrmann, Aviva Stadium, Parken Stadium, Arena Nationala (Romania's national stadium) and big venues in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia + she will surely play stadiums in South America.
Those 55K Indonesian tickets would have helped. **** those protesters
And, by the way, I think Bulgarian ticket sales were going fine, considering there people usually to buy tickets last minute and promo usually increases in the few weeks leading to the event. Maybe, after all, it was a scheduling issue like someone said in the other thread. That arena is pretty big, though, compared to some other European venues, like the Italian one (12K)

And I also got OFFICIAL INFORMATION that are 0 chances the concert venue for the Romanian show will be changed. There are already 23.000 tickets sold out of 43.000 and the total until 16 August will be at 40.000 out of 43.000 tickets, so the concert will be almost sold out!

Right now, tickets in Romania sell at around 300 tickets per day (only in stores, without online).
And here are the sales, since tickets have been gone on sale (April 27th)
April - 5.000 tickets sold
May - 5.000 tickets sold
June - 6.000 tickets sold
July - 13.000 tickets sold (estimated)
August - Around 12k tickets sold.

That's pretty good, isn't it?
She should do a worldwide leg and tour in Asia again (10+ dates in Japan) tbh

That's what many people have been saying. Since she has new music out it would make sense. She changes the setlist of the show a bit to fit some new songs and tours some territories again (and strategically does more promo). It would be very profitable for the next Era, because every time she hits a country her sales increase and having a new album and singles out would result in healthy boosts for all her catalog, especially for the new releases.

I think somebody already stated these things, but I'm gonna repeat.
The Bulgarian show isn't doing very well (I mean ticket sales) because:
1. Bulgarian people always rush to buy tickets the last week before the concert.
2. Promo is not very big. No TV commercial at all.
3. Everybody is at the seaside in August.
4. The ticket prices are not conformed to the condition of the country.
5. Gaga doesn't have that many fans in Bulgaria. Probably most of 1/2 of the audience will be teenagers.
That's just the way it is. We can't blame anybody. Also, the promoter said that Gaga's management decided to move the show. Good news is it won't be canceled - we're still going to see Gaga live!
My heart can beat with bricks and strings.
