TTT was a good step musically in terms of experimenting, she basically eliminated R&B from her discography and focused on either dark dubstep infused urban music (BC, Cockiness, TTT), 80's throwbacks (WNL, DYT), electro rock/ pop rock (WAWL, RMO, FIL) and dark experimental dance music (WHYB, WFL, RL, DOL). She had a really good direction but the music wasn't able to pull through for the concept. If she delivered really well it would have ended up as her second most creative album.
GGGB is her best sound, her voice fits perfectly with that sound

Rolling Stone review Diamonds World Tour
Throughout the night, she used her hand like a cat its tongue, rubbing her thighs like she's rolling out dough, patting her crotch as if slapping cheese on a burger.

I actually think "Talk That Talk" has been her best sound yet. Not many people like the album, but I personally think it's one of the best records Rihanna has recorded. The songs are a lot harder and lyrically, it's crazy. There is a lot of variation.
