The E.N.D.
If not Loud.
But please leave TD alone, its a pop masterpiece. Just because the singles charted way better than your faves doesnt mean its manufactured for hits.
Stop hating Katy Perry just because she is ******** on your faves ATRL.

I don't think Doo-Wops & Hooligans or The Fame are undeserved at all. The other 3 are though, even Loud and that's coming from a Rihanna fan. I find it disgraceful how Rated R received absolutely no nominations the year before but Loud received an Album of the Year nomination. I love Loud but it definitely weren't worthy of that nomination, the nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album was definitely deserved though.

LOUD, for me. It's kind of the odd one out here, though i can see why they nominated it.
The E.N.D wasn't a great album by any means, but it's singles sparked the EDM trend on US radio, so it's impact couldn't be ignored.
The Teenage Dream era was too huge for the Grammys to ignore. Same goes for The Fame.
Doo Wops & Hooligans was the breakout album of a mainstream Pop/Soul singer-songwriter. It was gonna get nominated regardless of whether y'all liked it or not.

They nominate albums based on quality, not on how successful they were or how big the singles were.

and that is exactly the point of this thread... that Grammys nominated those albums in part because of the impact and success of the eras rather than musical quality.
So thats the reason lot of people think and we are discussing now those albums received an "undeserved" nomination.
Is a "Supposed" rule not basing the nods on sales, but sometimes Grammys skip that rule.

The Fame + Monster have sold around 15M copies .... and around 8M or 9M were for "The Fame" alone.
well according to Mediatraffic... because Gaga herself was a bit more inflated and enthusiastic before releasing "The Fame monster" and congratulated herself with a comment on twitter when "The Fame" supposedly reached 10M sales.

To be honest, The Fame is the only reasonable nominee here.
Taylor Swift
Lagy Gaga | Rihanna | Britney Spears | Katy Perry | Beyoncé
Carrie Underwood | Paramore | Kelly Clarkson | Bridgit Mendler | Ke$ha | Avril Lavigne | Adele | Miley Cyrus | P!nk
Jennifer Lopez | Christina Aguilera | Selena Gomez | Demi Lovato | Lady Antebellum | Mariah Carey | Miranda Lambert | One Direction | Alicia Keys | Shakira | Madonna | Justin Timberlake | Bruno Mars | Nicki Minaj | Justin Bieber | Carly Rae Jepsen | Cheryl Cole

All of these, bar Bruno, were some of the worst albums of the year. I voted for the Fame because it really didn't do much for me or the GP. Teenage Dream and Loud are close seconds.
