I know what you're trying to say, even with the right amount of promotion a song will not get to #1 if it isn't destined to. Sorry, it sounded like you were implying all songs that don't get to #1 are flops

I'm not worried about PTA worldwide, but I'm not sure how well it'll do in America. Honestly, I pray it doesn't do close to as well as Starships because that's just going to hinder the success of the next single (Va Va Voom or Whip It, both which need to smash)

I expect pound the alarm to be a hit. Top 10 and 3x platinum. I don't think it should hinder the obvious smashes va va voom. If anything pta needs to be released now because theother two songs are bonafide smashes. Pta and vvv will benefit from years end Nov and Dec sales so I don't worry about that. I just hope she promotes I am your leader, champion, Hov lane and fireburn/gun shot to at least go platinum...the first three have shots at double platinum. I expect at least 3 more top 10s, 1 more top 20 and 3 more top 40 hits before the era ends.

An urban-only Nicki single is never going to go double platinum.

I agree that certainly Champion and HOV Lane have potential to go double platinum, but they only will if she releases them as pop singles, and she obviously won't do that.

And I don't think it's shady saying Nicki is a singer. It's true that she's a singer, and she's also a rapper.

But, in reality, the only Nicki Minaj songs that 99% of the public have heard this year are Turn Me On and Starships, so it's very understandable that people are going to call her primarily a singer. Only her core fanbase know that she also raps and does hip hop.

BITT was a really big Urban radio it. A lot of people know about the song, as do they Stupid Hoe.

Yeah. Although I think if she released an urban song now, it'll do much better than Moment 4 Life, since she's so much more famous now. But I don't think she'll take the risk, and I'm honestly not sure if she's capable of having an urban hit anymore. It's approaching 2 years since she last had one.
