Delilah finally makes her long-awaited debut in our music rate at #19. This is my least-favorite of Delilah's singles and I only gave it a 6, while everything else got 9+. The strings at the beginning give me Madonna Ray of Light teas, but thankfully she steers clear of that for the rest of the song. Delilah gives a good vocal, as always, but the tempo is a bit too slow for me. While her other songs have a similar feel, they're more captivating than "Breathe". The song didn't do too well on the charts, only peaking at #87.
After Rebecca's great start (all songs making the Top 25), she's now lost her last song. "Too Good to Lose" was Rebecca's second single from her album. It's the only one of the three that's really uptempo and feel-good. I actually think her style of voice fits this tempo quite well, though one would assume it would fit the slower stuff better. Towards the bridge, some synthy-sounding stuff enters the picture, and it's totally exciting and unexpected for a song that has such a strong bluesy, classic R&B sound. This song only charted at #186 in the UK; I mean, what the ****? Y'all messed up with that, Brits
