E.T. was spammed across every single radio station. It's not even that catchy of a song when compared to Katy's 500 other successful singles, which is why I never understood it's success. The Kanye remix made it even more unbearable.

Tik Tok was at #2 for awhile on that chart and had more longevity. I know Taylor Swift took her away from #1 for a couple, and we know Taylor doesn't get airplay, so Kesha stayed at #1 on the Hot 100. Kesha's last few weeks at #1 on the hot 100 was mostly from airplay, like We Found Love and all the other songs by females that spent that many weeks at #1.
E.T. is probably her 2nd most successful song in the US tbh.

I still find it random that "Call Me Maybe" is so popular. Carly is one those artists where people will recognize the song, but not her. Some people still don't know who she is, but they know the song.
I think she might turn out to be a one hit a wonder.
