Her Spanish music is way, way, way better....that's the REAL Shakira, where she shows off her artistry in powerful lyrics and the best sounds. Even the Spanish tracks on her bilingual albums are always the best. In most cases she just obviously translates to English and it ends up sounding awkward (which is why many people say she has "quirky" and "different" lyrics). The line "lucky that my breasts are small and humble/so you don't confuse them with mountains" is a great example, in Spanish it sounds funny and clever and clearly means that her lover wants to be with her because of who she is as a person, not her body, but in English it sounds horrible.
I stan for her, but her English stuff is simply not that good apart from a few songs (Don't Bother, Hips Don't Lie, Men in this Town, Poem to a Horse) and her Spanish language stuff deserves all the recognition.

I think her English material deserves more recognition, but I
prefer listening to her Spanish works. I feel like she's more
comfortable working in Spanish, but that just may be me.

If Britney had won 5 Grammys they would get a little more credibility. They totally have preferences and are very biased, I can't even.

Well I guess this is just about opinions, but I can't find the Grammy important at all :/ It's not just about Britney, a lot of great and amazing artists deserved more recognition by them!
the grammys (english) can fart in church. The sistrens at the latin grammy's know.
