Gaga (along with other celebrities) helped raise support for the repeal of DADT. She informed many to call their senators to consider the repeal. The flood of phone calls and personal accounts from the government employees can attest to that fact. That is actual impact. By all means I am not hating on Carly but since there is still homophobic remarks being made on her video and that of Frank Ocean's I fail to see how much a simple video like this has had any major impact on society especially when you put it side to side with a historical event like the DADT repeal, an event that changed the lives of millions of US soldiers and their families.
