Chile, please. How about you sit at a damn computer and read Twitter instead of purchasing extra nights at Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
If you honestly think that homophobia being prevalent among the black community is old then you must hang out with newborns.

But sis, that is what you said. Go back and read your post.
But sis, I gave you a source of information. It's not my fault that you're lazy.
But sis, look up the origins of "no homo."
But sis, research stories about black gay boys in the hood.
But sis, watch LA Complex.

I don't know what's going on in here but I just HOWLED at this!

"Why is Taylor Swift regarded as such a good role model anyway? I wouldn't want any daughter/niece of mine to grow into a girl-bashing, *****-shaming, boy-crazy, eternally-virginal damsel in distress who seems to perennially look at the world through the prism of a victim. That's not empowering. That's not even healthy." - U4EA

um, how about you direct your "tired"ness towards the fact that so much of the black community is homophobic & it wasn't until Obama ok'd it that the majority black people were against gay marriage & gay people in general...?
It is a prominent human problem, but it is especially a big thing in the black community. If it wasn't then phrases like "no homo" "pause" & "downlow" wouldn't have been created. And then there are the AIDs/HIV statistics and the "downlow" men correlation attached to it. I mean, stop victimizing the black community over a mostly accurate generalization.

|
DEATH @ your evidence is being the coining of terms like "no homo."

I could say the white community is so much more homphobic for the coining of terms like f**got and q*eer, but that would be just as nonsensical. It's false.

Wrong yet again. Their is no victimizing present, only the act of refuting.

Homophobia in the black community is a very big thing, and it's not going to just go away overnight or be something some people can try to sweep under a rug because they feel as though the black community is being attacked. Even without bringing up slavery and the oppression our community, we still get the ****** end of the stick for being the minority.

You can find bad gay experiences in every culture, not just 'black gay boys in the hood'.
'No homo' , 'Swag', 'Money Over Bitches', and the list goes on and on. Rap has created many popular terms. If anything, I think the term 'no homo' has been positive as you find many black men using it to express love for something or borderline homosexual feelings that they probably would have not.
Black people may be louder and more flamboyant about their feelings and thoughts, but they feel generally the same way as most people do.

That's not what I said.
You've offered no source that is an accurate representation of the black community's (in)tolerance of homosexuality.
That is irrelevant.
There are similar stories for gay men throughout several different communities and cultures.
Repeat above. Also point two.
And you've offered none that are legit supporters of the point you endorse and perpetuate.

LORD THE IGNORANCE!
"No homo" is used so when boys do something or say something that can be considered gay and they don't want their friends to judge them negatively for it.
You don't hear people saying "No hetero" because being straight has no negative connotation.
You people need to take off your rose-colored glasses and face reality.

You obviously can't read. Geezus clearly said " If it wasn't then phrases like "no homo" "pause" & "downlow" wouldn't have been created.". Meaning that black people have coined terms to make it clear that they are not gay for completely dumb comments.
And, you bringing up ****** and queer was dumb seeing as those weren't used in the black community to try to stop from being called a homo or negate the fact that ones statement might be seen as gay. Oh and sorry to disappoint you, but you were trying to victimize black people.
