Yes, she turned it down to star in Mad Money with Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton. Apparently the real reason was that Tom didn't want act with Aaron Eckhart again after their sex scenes in Thank You For Smoking.

I think she used to be cool during her days on "Dawson's creek" ..... but as soon as she married with "Tom Cruise" her personality changed drastically.

and its weird, because after being the main star on "Dawson's" and marrying Tom Cruise you could swear her career would take over, the ironic part is that her co-star on "Dawson's creek" Michelle Williams is having a great film career with rave reviews, success on the box office and even getting several Academy award nominations already, while Katie's career is a failure.
