In some respects, all artists are sellouts. I mean, Gaga went from grunge artist/classical brunette pianist? to an extroverted, controversial platinum.

So i choose Other: Lady Gaga.

Some artists Beyoncé are always so kind, and helpful and stay as one throughout her career. No gimmicks, no tacky costumes, no controversial songs/lyrics/phrases. Just god honest talent.

The only sell-outs for me are Nicki and maybe Maroon 5 (they've always made pop music, the difference is that now it's ****** and more generic).

Nicki Minaj. Okay, I get that she wanted to break in with Pink Friday - that's pretty good. After she made it, Nicki should have used that opportunity to show that you can dominate, as a female, with hip-hop. Instead, she goes pop and blonde all one record. Her lyrics show no sign of evolving either.

Katy Perry is second, but not because of the whole Christina aspect. One of the Boys was kind of unique, and now she's spitting out replicas of songs released three seconds ago.

Rihanna and Britney shouldn't count. They started out being trendy and just continue to do so...

Britney was always the way she is. The sex appeal is(was) synonymous with her name.

Katy never really sold out. It's not like she made the leap from Christian pop star to secular pop star in two years. She was really young with that first record, heavily influenced by her parents, but she lost interest in doing that kind of music. She's been doing commercial pop records for a long time now.
