I didn't say all performances should be dramatic. I'm just saying Meryl didn't really give a brilliant performance, and it's hard to argue with that. Replace her with any other experienced actress and there would be virtually no difference. It's painfully obvious Anna Wintour is not easily tempered, but rather an aloof bitch. That's how she appears, at least.

The role wasn't challenging and probably required very little preparation. I just don't see why she deserved the praise.

Unless she's fooling me, I can clearly hear her do EACH harmony for a four part harmony one by one. she does one, records it on the machine, then does the next, records it, then does the next..so on and so on. then she uses them throughout her performance. Watch, and tell me if I'm crazy.

There isn't anything impressive about her handling a machine like this. So many people can do this. Harmonizing with four other people at the same time is so much harder. I can't even explain it to you.

I harmonize with people all the time. it's really not hard, once you find your part in the harmony and stick to it. I can't do what kimbra's doing, it's harder unless you really do know what you're doing. It requires you to know how to differentiate between harmonies on spot.

I think Kimbra's music is good and the way she performs it is interesting too. I like her voice.

You could do it very easily if you practice with loop recording. You hear your voice differently so it's easier to focus on harmonizing.
