I'm not really sure but why is Rolling Stone such a stan? Didn't they also give the "queen of pop" title to Gaga last year?

It was fine being on that list, but I wouldn't put it in the top 40. It's a great album, but there are other great albums too which have had much more impact, and they should be ahead of it.
IMO

THIS!!!!! As much as i LOVE Adele, 21 being n°6 is ABSURD. BTW is not a bad album but it shouldn't even be on the list. 4 shouldn't be on the list either.
None of these albums are bad but as you said, there's a LOT of better albums with bigger legacy and quality.

Well I don't know about that but it is an amazing album. I think at the end of the day people will look at it as Gaga's grand opus, the most artistic and daring album in her career. It isn't deserving of half the hate it gets.

No, in a few years BTW won't even be on the list. Lady Gaga is big right now so putting her album high on their list gets them attention/readers.

Well, the album shouldn't be that high, but I think that it should be on the list anyway.
Um... I'll go with the third option.
And yes, BTW is her best album.
It has some bad songs, but so does TFM (Telephone, Monster, SHICD ).

Oh please this argument is tired
Funny how some people are saying "would ... lie?" when it's in support of their faves but at the moment the very same source are saying something they don't like, they're suddenly irrelevant
As i said about Adele, she's one of my faves but she don't deserve to be on the list and certainly not THAT high, it's ridiculous. So, did Rolling Stones lied on this one? Yes. They lied on a lot of things actually. Jagged Little Pill being at the bottom of the list in a BIIIIIIIIG lie

TFM could have taken its spot
BTW is a solid album but BK, BJ+AF, BTW, FOHL, and GH are a let down for me

Being completely honest, TFM isn't really among top 50 female albums of all time either, let alone BTW.

No. I like it, but it didn't deserve to be on that list. And neither did Adele, Taylor, Beyonce, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac and any compilation albums.

Born This Way didn't bring anything new to pop music, it's is not Gaga's best album, it had very good sales but far from impressive, only one single smashed and it got a lot of negative feedback for being a remake of Express Yourself.... there's not reason at all to be that higher.
