I have to agree that she can't sing POM. But you have to take into consideration that she's been performing nonstop for more than two years. She's tired.

It was great vocally and visually. She CAN'T sing the chorus like the studio version, but she did a great job re-working the last chorus and sounded great.

It was a little boring, and the butterfly wing / "dancers" in the tree were kinda pointless. I'm sure it worked better in her mind

It depends on the person, the voice is a very delicate instrument and even the greatest singers sometimes need a rest of singing cuz the voice gets tired.

Now, Katy's problem is that sometimes she uses her throat while singing, so she needs to rest and get a vocal coach so next era she can slay everyone with her vocals cuz she has what it takes to be a great singer.

I wanted to see how she sounded live on this song because she actually sounds pretty good on the studio track...but her live vocals here are really nasally and flat most of the time (kudos for her getting a little better towards the end). I don't know whether the problem is that the notes of the songs themselves being out of her range or hard to sing or if she is actually just not capable of singing her own songs, but this was pretty embarrassing vocally. Fortunately, she's obviously beautiful and the visuals are beautiful, but vocally she really needs to improve or just have songs that better suit her voice
