I think Rated R is some of her best work. But as previously stated, the GP has already forgotten about it. I think Loud will be known as her best album in the future.
Rated R is by far her best album however GGGB will probably be the most remembered in years to come for Umbrella alone and it was the one that turned her into a superstar.
10 years from now, when critics and music observers begin looking through Rihanna's body of work, will Rated R be seen as the album that helped her carve her own niche in pop music?
.
Rated R may be her best album, but that role in the bolded part goes to GGGB.
TTT is a great album! Its Ri doing what she does best ;having fun. I doubt Rihanna has experienced half of the emotions her writers try to get her to portray in her songs( which is why the "gems" like CKB and RR fail miserably) but with this one she is just.... Having a good time, singing about sex, and ****ing around! Rihanna is 24 years old!
Besides I always felt that Rated R was insincere. it was made to capitalize off of the incident with Chris. Anyhow, we all know Ri doesnt write lyrics.
hard to say if any album would considered by everyone her best work, but if anything it certainly wouldn't be Rated R imo. it did so poorly with the public and critics. don't get me wrong, it's a good album, but i just don't get the vibe that it impacted anything.
what...?
Hurts • Lana Del Rey • Kanye • Rihanna • Jay-Z • Fun. • Coldplay
