Oh.
So 'Like a Prayer' is listed on the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, but on this list it is behind some albums that fail to make that list. Interesting.

Like it was already noted in this thread, I think 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time was industry voted, not their opinion.
We have to take the lead.
If we are educated, our girls will value education.
If we respect our bodies, they will value theirs.
If we are brave, they will grow up to be fearless.
Until we walk the walk, it just continues to be talk.

Queen Alicia
although I don't get why they put As I Am on that list instead of Songs in A Minor or The Diary. These albums are better imo.
And tbh, I don't think Speak Now and 4 should be on that list. Dangerously In Love probably, but not 4.
Anyway, this list seems kinda weird to me, Adele really shouldn't be THAT high. She's kinda overrated.
Cause anything that's good never ever lasts
Queen Kelly Clarkson.
Leona Lewis.

I love Adele and 21, but I don't think it should have been that high. However, I don't see anyone aggresively defending her placement on the list. I see quite the contrary. People, mainly the monsters, are defending BTW being this high. So, I don't even see the point in bringing up Adele in response to a post about Gaga.

Where is Florence with Ceremonials? That album is amazing. I'd say it's of higher quality than most of the list, including Born This Way, which I love.
Adele does not deserve #6 at all. I love 19 and 21, but neither are diverse albums. I would have placed 21 in the late teens or early 20's.

I completely agree, but it makes more sense in the context of the last year. It's not like BTW has been embraced by consumers the way TFM was... 21 is the biggest female album in over a decade. But neither really belongs on this list. I could swallow both being in the 40s.

Because Rolling Stone, the holy grail of music, said they had the best female albums of ALL time.

Well you see her stans defending the placement because most of the discussion here has been centered on how it invalidates the list, just as you'd see stans of any other artist doing the same (if it were 4 or Blackout or Rated R that had placed at #11).
There were comparatively fewer comments directed at 21 being placed so highly, which is why my post was directed at that "egregious" ranking. Obviously almost all this discussion is stan war motivated, and it wouldn't play out any differently if any of the other girls were in Gaga's place here.
