I remember when I first copped the album. I was like this track is gonna smash so hard as a single, but then she kept releasing unecessary singles, and honestly my hopes and dreams became more and more slim as the momentum was lost.

WHYB is annoying and awful.
After the navy hyping it up as the second coming of Jesus I'm surprised it didn't do as well as they expected it.... even tho I predicted it wouldn't be the smash they was all hoping for.

Yes it should have but alot of people overplayed from when TTT got release and got "tired" of it when Rihanna release it as a single

No. The song is a total overrated mess. The production is horrid and is it's a massive disappointment of a song considering it was produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Calvin Harris. It should of been better. Those electro breakdowns are terrible and make the song sound so cheap. The only thing I like about the song is Rihanna's vocals, where she sounds fierce! Rihanna is not the problem on the track. It's the production.

I honestly thought this song was a sure fire #1 but I guess I was wrong. I don't get it.

It's a great summer song, it had an amazing music video, and she performed it on some of televisions most watched programs. Radio has even given it (and still giving it) a lot of support. I just don't know why its not smashing harder and higher on the charts. None the less it is still doing amazing and Rihanna stans should be proud.

I think it's because WHYB is too repetitive. I mean WFL has repetitive lyrics but at least the 1st and 2nd verses are distinct. WFL is easier to sing along with and coupled with that insane production, it still sounds so fresh after 9 months. WHYB gets old real fast and the video is honestly quite ordinary.
