looking back at those pictures the OP posted, I must say, i've never really seen 'classy, elegant" katy pictures. she's either very sexed up or fantasy-like (cupcake outfits, cartoonish stuff). for some odd reason, gaga can make the colored hair stuff appeal more to fashion than katy
Gaga definitely looks better here.
Katy looks like, as someone has mentioned, the grandfairy from Shrek.
This dress that Gaga wore for a simple and brief airport arrival is so much better than most of the dresses worn by celebrities to the Grammys this year (including what Gaga wore herself).
I thought it was about who looked better in general so I voted Katy and had a mini heart attack when I saw Gaga with more votes
