Track by Track Review.

"Lost in the Echo" This is the Linkin Park i love. One of their best songs in forever. Everything about it it's absolutely perfect. 10/10
"In My Remains" Sounds too much like
Burn It Down IMO. It's a better song in some aspects though. Chester's voice in the chorus <3. 9.5/10
"Burn It Down": Good lead single since it's catchy. I still think LITE would have been a better choice, especially since that's the sound i think us fans really were expecting. Love Mike's verse. 9/10
"Lies Greed Misery": Chester's screams <3 This is wild. Love the guitars and vocals. Mike's flow is insane in this one, such confidence in his rappin'. 9/10
"I'll Be Gone": Another one of my favorites on the album. The chorus is very addictive and i feel like this is another must-single. I like the soft verse and then the transition to a rocking chorus. 10/10
"Castle of Glass": One of my favorites on the album. Definitely a grower since i wasn't crazy about it on the first listen. The lyrics and melody are incredible. Reminds me of Paramore's "Misguided Ghost". NEEDS to be a single. 10/10
"Victimized": This is one of the few
averages on the album. I feel like it isn't indispensable in any way but it's enjoyable. 6.5/10
"Roads Untraveled": Beautiful melody and lyrics. Love the guitars in it and both Mike's and Chester's vocals. 10/10
"Skin to Bone": I love the production, and the beat is really cool. Not one of the standouts but still a good one. 7.5/10
"Until It Breaks": This shows the diversity of this bands when it comes to sound. They can go from Nu Metal, to Alternative and then this killer rap song. The beat is sick and, again, Mike's flow is out of this world. 8/10
"Tinfoil": I don't have much to say about this one since it's only an instrumental. A cool one. I don't like when they overuse these types of songs, i'm glad they didn't like on
ATS.
"Powerless": I feel like this would be amazing to hear live, with the crowd screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs. The lyrics are good (love the chorus) but i'm not too crazy about the production in this one. 7/10
Consensus: Most of the songs carry the same melody, which is actually not a complain from my part. It's the melody that characterizes the band. It's Chester's way to sing and then Mike's rapping. It took me back to the good old days. I enjoy that the album holds the same sound while still experimenting in a way. It's hard to explain but even though i find the melodies quite repetitive, i feel like every song delivers in a different way.
As a Linkin Park fan, this album delivered BIG TIME. It blew my mind and it was definitely much better than i was expecting. It's my favorite album released this year so far. I'm really proud of their sound and the final product.
Final Rating: 9/10
