That last bit may sound shady, but it's true.
People already look at k-pop groups with only a few members and are like "they all look the same."
Twice the number is even worse.

At least in America, not sure how people in Europe would do with that.
YG did debut 2NE1 with the knowledge of their mass appeal. I wouldn't doubt that he knew he would end up trying to launch them internationally this soon.
I'm not surprised that they're seemingly debuting internationally/in the US quicker than BB.
Female artists are leading the game right now WW, and they are easily more accepted than male artists are.
I mean, Justin Bieber already gets enough flack sometimes for no reason at all, so 5 Asian men in eyeliner, crazy hair, etc. might not sit well with people.
Maybe not yet.
