I think the documentary you mentioned in OP should be reposted or inserted there. I'm not sure exactly which one everyone was referring to but I believe this was it?

Well as I said in the OP the idea is that they are WW so there is more than likely a species living in certain areas and I guess it's pretty similar to the yeti although the yeti is described as having white fur.
