I stan for her because of her music.

People like to make Lauryn Hill seem like mother earth but in the 90s, she was wearing her bikini tops just like the rest of them  The only difference is Lauryn had the intelligence, and talent to back her up. Lauryn was seen as beautiful.

Yes. But nowhere near as much as she has right now. And I think sailor**** was pretty spot on in terms of her commercial appeal. It is absolutely no coincidence that these magazine editors lighten her skin. Unfortunately, It's just subconscious in many people's minds that the whiter, the better.
I mean just think about it, even Rihanna stans were basically dragging their own fave when she decided to wear dreads.

Please. Jennifer Hudson makes awful music not to mention I hate the heaviness of her tone and her volume on FOGHORN and all times for no friggin' reason; Kelly has a number of things that plays into why she hasn't been as successful: 1) she has yet to define who she is as an artist; 2) she's an inconsistent performer; 3) she has never consistently produced quality music; 4) she doesn't hustle and promote to support her work -- Motivation could have broken the Hot 100 Top Ten had she promoted, she only performed half the song once during the BET awards months after the release of the song. WTF, Kelly? She's had plenty of opportunities, Kelly doesn't have the drive or work ethic that Beyonce has. Period. I love Kelly, but, that's the truth.
Beyonce is where she is and has the fans she has because of her work and talent. There are plenty of beautiful light-skinned flops.

It's not because they are dark skinned, its because they didn't get their big break yet....breaking into the entertainment industry is hard for anyone - wether dark skinned, light skinned, asian, etc...

With the exception of one artist every person in your signature is light skinned. I guess that's why you stan for them going by your ignorant logic.
