Selena has longevity which also factors into "chart performance" though too. It's debatable but they're pretty even. I just give Selena the edge cause her songs have lasting ability.

Don't Forget, Catch Me, Fix A Heart & Unbroken charted on Hot 100 without any promo. The first three are ballads & the last three are not even singles (Don't Forget isn't even a proper single), where is HTL though with all that promo?

Hit The Lights got an adds date months after all the HTL promo died down. Did you expect people to magically remember her EMA performance all the way up until now to buy the song? HTL was overshadowed by LYLALS smashing anyways, and nobody saw that coming.

They released a video, sent it for adds and she performed it

I think that's enough for it to AT LEAST chart or crack top 40 on radio.
