It's not a big deal that Lady Gaga is getting paid. Madonna is the Queen of Pop. I don't know why you think she cares to pay royalties to sample "Born This Way". It's disposable money. It's so minimal to her savings and what she will be earning from the tour.
I'm not acting all pressed. You simmer
This is not your grave, but you are welcome in it.
As a performer, you do not have to pay performance royalties. These are paid by the venue which hired you to perform. However, if you record your show and sell it as a live album, you will need to pay for the compulsory licenses, discussed later in this article.
More money to get Gaga to the top of Forbes in 2013?
She responded to the intial comparisons and had a meltdown on NME where she used "retarded". It brought the kiis, I wonder what will happen this time.
I think that at the time the wound was still open, considering the swift and ruthless backlash she received for a song she obviously cared a lot about. I think that by now she has a thicker skin about the whole ordeal.
But who knows, maybe she'll self-direct a music video about it or make a screamo-pop song or something.
If she were comfortable with her queenly title, she wouldn't resort to shading someone who has been on the scene a fraction of time she has.
Is she frightened that Gaga is coming for her weave? Maybe not this year, or in the next couple of years....but eventually.
I see no reason why Madonna would be scared. In five years, Madonna won't be wearing this kind of costume, she'll have a new kind of music to sing, and people will be complaining that she's too serious and that they miss her fun stuff like Confessions, just like they bitched out Anerican Life.
I think Gaga will still be big, but probably not on Madonna's radar at that point.

No. It did well considering the experimental masterpiece it is. It's not public-friendly at all.

U2 and Bon Jovi would only want that collaboration in desperation of remaining relevant.
