The documentary is about her entire life. 99% of the footage was filmed before the divorce.

And Russell agreed to be filmed, so Katy has every right to keep what she wants. It is her movie after all. I can't wait to see it. And I doubt that that there is anything that would completely show him as an ass. She said on Ellen everything was done "tastefully". But people that have seen the screening already said there are scenes of Katy crying

This probably isn't that big of a deal, there may be a section about her divorce and he may be in some other scenes, but like he isn't going to be a huge part of the film considering he's only been in her life a couple years and they weren't even together during most of the tour...
