Kate Walsh Poised To Depart ABC’s ‘Private Practice’ After 13 More Episodes
It looks like Dr. Addison Montgomery, who left Seattle Grace five years ago to move to Los Angeles, will be packing again. I’ve learned that Private Practice star Kate Walsh plans to leave the medical drama after 13 episodes of the upcoming sixth season.
There had been speculation that Walsh, who has played the character of Addison for 7 years, starting on Grey’s Anatomy before she segued to spinoff Private Practice, had been looking to move on. Her deal was up at the end of last season and, after intense negotiations, she agreed to return but committed to only 13 episodes. That paved the way to ABC’s sixth-season renewal of the series, which also was for 13 episodes. I hear that Walsh is now ready to move onto other things after she completes her contractual obligation.
It is unclear whether Private Practice, which was built around Walsh’s character, would continue without her. When ABC renewed Private Practice earlier this month, speculation was that the sixth season would be the show’s last, but ABC has stopped short of announcing an end date for the series.
However, with creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes busy with three series on the air — all created and run by her – Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice and Scandal, she may decide end Practice after Walsh leaves to focus on her other shows. There is a major cast departure already afoot on Private Practice. Tim Daly, originally tapped as the male lead opposite Walsh, unveiled earlier this week that he won’t be returning next season after his option was not picked up. On the feature side, Walsh will next be seen in The Perks Of Being a Wallflower, which opens in September.

A mess! Wasn't she the one who wanted her own show?

Rebel Wilson’s CBS Comedy Pilot ‘Super Fun Night’ Close To New Pilot Order At ABC
Rebel Wilson’s CBS comedy pilot Super Fun Night is getting what every busted pilot dreams of but very few can accomplish — a second chance. I’ve learned that ABC is close to a deal to re-pilot the project, written by and starring Bridesmaids standout Wilson and executive produced by Conan O’Brien. It follows three nerdy female friends, one played by Wilson, on their “funcomfortable” quest to have SUPER FUN every Friday night.
I hear that the comedy, originally written as multi-camera for CBS, will now be reworked as single-camera, the predominant comedy format at ABC. ABC topper Paul Lee has spoken about his desire to build a block of edgy young ensemble comedies around Happy Endings, and Super Fun Night, along with newbie Don’t Trust The B—-, which will be paired with Happy Endings in the fall, could be used for that. Super Fun Night is produced by Warner Bros TV and O’Brien’s studio-based Conaco Prods. O’Brien, Jeff Ross and David Kissinger executive produce, with Wilson serving as co-executive producer. The CBS version also was executive produced by Ted Cohen & Andrew Reich, who signed on as showrunners for that pilot only. It is unclear whether any other cast members from the CBS pilot besides Wilson would make the transition to the ABC one. The original pilot starred Jenny Slate and Edi Patterson as the other leads opposite Wilson.
Super Fun Night was one of the talked-about pilots after the upfronts, with several networks looking at it. There is an unusually high level of activity for passed-over broadcast pilots this season. USA Network is seriously considering picking up Fox comedy Rebounding, while Lifetime is doing the same with ABC dramedy Devious Maids.

Huffington Post - ABC Shows: Fall TV 2012-2013 First Impressions
They dragged Reba's new show.
Quote:
"MALIBU COUNTRY"
Ryan: DVR It
I will not watch further episodes of this show, but I said "DVR It" because this very traditional sitcom will likely be perfectly acceptable to fans of Reba McEntire (and Lily Tomlin, who plays her sassy mama). It's this year's "Last Man Standing": inoffensive, corny, competent and not really for me, but it may well find an audience.
Furlong: Skip It
Reba is a star, people, but someone needs to tell her and this show's writing staff that it's 2012. Even a pot-loving granny (come on, Lily Tomlin) can't counteract the hokey jokes and an unforgivable homophobic moment. Have fun on Friday nights with that awful Tim Allen show that I've also forgotten about since the pilot!
Etkin: Skip It
I loathed nearly everything about this, yet I assume it will be the most watched show in its timeslot.
Harnick: Skip It
Is it too early to start the "Save Lily Tomlin!" campaign? Never trust a multi-camera sitcom that has gay and drug jokes in the pilot.
Moaba: Skip It
The studio audience/laugh track found it a lot funnier than I did (the lone exception being when when Lily Tomlin’s character got a hold of a weed lollipop). But I could see middle America tuning in to watch Reba and Tomlin navigate the culture shock of moving their family from Nashville to Southern California.
Weingus: Skip It
Reba's no fun, the supporting characters are obnoxious, and laugh tracks are (or should be) a trend of yesteryear!
Prudom: Skip It
Everything I hate about multi-camera sitcoms. If you, like me, dig the southern accents, just cut your losses and watch "Nashville" instead.

The only pilot I'm looking forward to is 'The Goodwin Games'. I'm intrigued for 'The Mindy Project' and "Go On', but don't know if they'll keep my interest. Most of the new series, however, look absolutely dreadful.

You've liked this season? I haven't liked one bit of it; it seems completely different from the past season from the characters to the story lines. Now Nurse Jackie

I iked the mood switch of this seasont - but things look like they are about to come crashing down again. We will get our unstable Cathy back.
And Nurse Jackie is beyond amazing this season. Zoey living with Jackie is perfection.

I'm not that excited for any shows this fall, but some seem pretty nice. I'll see if something surprises me positively.

Are the reviewed pilots final or they are subject to change? I was rooting for Revolution so much but after reading these "reviews" I am worried about the show.
