How do I see my sent messages?
When composing a message, you must have “Save a copy of this message…” checked under Additional Options (Enabled by default). To toggle the default setting, you can go to “Preferences” and under Messaging & Notification, check the box that says “Save a copy of this message…” . To see sent messages, go to your inbox and under “Folder Controls”, jump to folder “Sent Items”.

Why do I have to wait for the thread to be posted before I can make a poll?
This is a limitation of our forum software (vBulliten) and it has been that way from day one. We’re always looking for ways to make our forum more efficient and we’ll implement better ways of dealing with polls when they become available.

Can we send download links through private messaging?
ATRL does not permit the sharing of copyrighted content, period. What you do via PM is your business, and it’s completely outside the scope of our moderation, but if someone reports that you’ve sent them an illegal file, we will be forced to look into it.

Can I make a new reservation if my survivor has started?
Yes, once your survivor actually starts, you're free to make a new reservation for something else. You can only have one reservation at time.

Why can’t we use nicknames for artists/celebrities?
Several years ago, nicknames got out of control and had to be stopped. Typically, the only "nicknames" allowed are abbreviations. You’re not allowed to mangle an artist or celebrity's name into a “stan name” or a “hater name”.

Is there a way to make categories in my PM mailbox for specific types of PMs, making it easier and more organized?
You can make a folder (go to your Inbox and then Edit Folders on the left) for certain PMs but there aren't going to be any automatic rules to filter messages into those folders automatically. That's just plain not possible in vBulletin. That's like something Microsoft Outlook would do for legit e-mail.

Can we be warned for wall posts?
Wall posts are outside the scope of our official moderation, but we will respond to reports if you’ve harassed someone or vice versa.

Are headlining tour official threads permitted?
Yes, they are permitted in the Celebria section.

Why did I get a warning? Why was someone banned? Can I dispute my warning?
Send a help request or post in HQ and we’ll try to help you out, if possible.

Can you change the title of the thread I created?
If you created the thread in anywhere but Celebria, Videos and Music News, you can do it yourself! click on "ACTIONS" at the top of the page -> EDIT THREAD->Change thread title to whatever you want->CLICK "SAVE CHANGES" and it's done. You can also go to the first page or any page and on the upper bar it should say 'Edit Title.' Otherwise, you need ATRL+ to edit a thread title, or you can ask a moderator to help you out through Help Request.

I still don't know how to multi-quote
There is a little thought bubble type thing next to 'Reply w/ Quote'. You click that little bubble and other ones just like it that you want to quote, then press 'Reply w/ Quote' and they'll be there for your responses and if you hover over the bubble it says 'Select multiple posts to quote, then click any "Reply" link'


Can we have a “Top” button that brings you to the top of the page?
Depending on your keyboard/operating system, you can usually get to the top of the page by either pressing "Home" (usually located on the left center of the keyboard), "CTRL + Home," or "Fn + Left Arrow" (the fn key is usually located on the lower left of the keyboard).

How do you view the 'Best Of' section?

How am I supposed to know when someone is warned about their activity?
It'll say Already Reported and then if it was, Warning Received.

How do personal countdowns work?
There are two kinds of countdowns: personal and requested.
Imagine requested countdowns are like survivors, where the least voted songs get replaced while the highest voted ones receive the first positions. Personal countdowns are basically "your countdown, your decision."

Can we get a reputation/Karma system?
We’ve tried the reputation system in the past and decided that it doesn’t work for our forum.

How does someone become a Senior Member on ATRL?
It's not a formal title; it's a category of people who can see some internal site data because they used to be on the staff in the past and/or the administrator wants them to see it. We needed something to label the category so that's what we chose.

Is there any chance that we can have an IM like tiny chat embedded at the bottom of the site?
There are no plans to add a chat feature to ATRL at this time.

Is there a way for us to order the threads from the ones that we replied the most to the ones we replied the least?
The forum software does not allow that kind of sorting.

Is there a way I can view more than 25 posts per page?
Our forum relies heavily on a specified number of threads. Certain features may not function properly if we were to give members the option to change this number.

Is there any way to go into a thread and press a button to find your last post in that thread?
On the top of the thread, click the “Search” button and at the bottom of that pop up, click “Posts by me”. It will display your posts from newest to oldest, so your last comment will be at the top.

How come new posts in No Holds Barred and Stand Your Ground don’t display at the top of the page?
Because of the offensive content that could be found in either thread, we decided to filter both threads from being too visible. The last thing we want is for our visitors to click on the link without so much as a hint for what’s inside.

Why does the "light blue" color tag not work in my posts?
The "light blue" color is not supported, due to technical limitations. Use the HTML code, "#ADD8E6", instead.

Why doesn't my collapse work?
The name you use after collapse=name has to be different from any other collapses on that page. So, if you make a collapse="list of songs I like" and then make another collapse collapse="list of songs I like", then both would open or close when you'd click one of the collapses or it may not work. Just change the name in the second collapse code and you should be set.

My blog is not being updated when someone comments on it
Check to see if 'Moderate comments before displaying' checked. That's usually the reason why comments don’t seem to show up. To change that click the Blogs tab > My Blog Posts & Settings > on your left side you'll see My Blog Settings, click it > then un-check the box that says to moderate comments before displaying

Who is ATRL-o-matic?
In 2005, ATRL-o-matic was created as a way to post birthday reminders. It later became the official representative for announcements and moderator-based notices was then transformed into an automated system by TC. In its current form, ATRL-o-matic handles warnings, birthdays and other administrative tasks.

Why doesn't ATRL-o-Matic care about my birthday?!
Check to see if your birthday privacy is set to Hide Age & Date of Birth. Go to Edit Profile > and choose Display Age & Full Date of Birth instead.

When you click the Actions button (next to Twitter Tweet and Fb Share) in a topic, you get directed to the homepage.
Check your JavaScript settings. Make sure it's turned on.

How can you see how many posts you have in a particular thread?
Click the number under the 'replies' column that's aligned to the thread.


I just an error message that my reply was "too short and needed to be lenghtly by 1 character"
If you were quoting a post, ATRL doesn't allow you to post a quote unless you have written at least 1 character outside the quoted part of your post.

Are comments posted in the blogs section moderated? Can you get WPs for insulting celebs or members like elsewhere?
Blog comments have report buttons, so yes. Anything that is posted openly, which is really everything that's not a Private Message, can be reported. You're less likely to get reported for a blog or wall post though, but it's not impossible.

How can I delete albums in my profile?
My ATRL > Edit Photos > go into the album > Edit Photo Album (top right) > Delete Photo Album button.

Is there any reason why I get logged out every 30 minutes or is that a problem with my browser?
Try clearing the cookies in your browser and make sure you check "Remember Me" when you sign in.

Will ATRL ever allow images in signatures?
No. They make websites look so unprofessional and out-of-control. We will never, ever allow it.

Is there a way to change my username?
Name Changes is a feature that’s only supported via ATRL+. Check out the official page for more info.

Is it possible to have my account banned so I can create a new one?
No.

How do I check my warning points if I do have any?
Profile -> Warnings. That will also list when the warnings expire.

Difference between a 'Friend' and a 'Contact'?
A contact is someone you want to give specific access through your privacy settings (http://atrl.net/forums/profile.php?do=privacy), while a friend would be someone who you want easier access to (through your profile), as well as invite them to have that access with you as well. Friends also have a special marker, +, that gets displayed when viewing the currently browing list. A friend is a contact, a contact is not a friend.

What does the ignore list do?!
The ignore list allows you to not receive emails or private messages from users on your Ignore List. In addition to making it hard to contact you, the ignore list also allows you to ignore posts from them in threads. Instead of a post by EXAMPLEUSERNAME, you would just see "This message is hidden because EXAMPLEUSERNAME is on your ignore list." Furthermore, you can utilize the list for more profile privacy and use it to restrict certain people, those on your ignore list, from viewing parts of your profile.

When I try to see someone's profile, I get "We're sorry, you are not allowed to access this area of ATRL at this time."
It seems that user may be awaiting approval from the administrators. The user can log in and do some basic things until they are approved.

How do I adjust the time setting to account for Daylight Savings Time?
Underneath the heading "Your Top Ten" and "Games" should be the date/time. Click it or go to http://atrl.net/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions and it brings you to your settings for date and time! Scroll down to the "Date & Time Options" section. Make sure that your Daylight Saving Time option is on "Automatic (Most U.S. states, Canada, UK, etc.)" That should do it. You shouldn't ever have a problem with Daylights Saving after that; the clock will change automatically for you from then on.

How can I remove my custom title?
Just click on it in the main page, then go down and where it says "basic information" you will find the Custom User Title, type " ", and save it for an empty line. If you want to just reset it to “Member”, you can also go to Edit Profile > Basic Information > Custom User Title. Check the box for "Reset" on the far right. Scroll down and hit "Save Changes", and that should do it.

Does anyone have any ideas why my avatar wouldn't show up on mobile or other peoples' walls?
You may not have a primary avatar set up. Mobile and profiles only show primary avatars. Save your avatar or a different one if you choose to onto your computer. In Edit Avatar, upload that saved file by clicking "Choose File" and then click "Update Primary Avatar".

Can we add an avatar just for profiles?
Under My ATRL > Edit Avatar you’ll see two options. Your primary avatar is meant to be displayed in your profile or blog. Your High Quality Avatar will be displayed everywhere else on the forum. Keep in mind that if you don’t specify a High Quality Avatar, your Primary Avatar will be used throughout the forum (profile as well as all public areas).

Why is ATRL getting blocked on my computer?
There may be an avatar or emoticon that is blocked. Please notify the staff to edit that post or remove the avatar.

ATRL is not working well at all on the iPod Touch
Try clearing your cookies and cache by going to Home -> Settings -> Safari -> Clear Cookies and Clear Cache. If the problem persists, report it to us via Technical Support.

Is it possible to switch from ATRL Mobile to the desktop version and vice versa?
At the bottom of every ATRL page, there’s a button that says “Switch to Desktop Layout”. Upon switching, this button will become "Switch to Mobile Layout" and allow you to revert the changes. If you are not signed in, it will switch back automatically upon navigating to the next page.

Why does the site only switch halfway when I turn my mobile device horizontally?
ATRL mobile doesn’t support horizontal browsing at this time. We’re constantly working on ways to improve the forum, and will take that up as soon as we’re able to.

Is it possible for the multi-quote feature to be available for the mobile layout, or if it is already available, how can I find it?

Does ATRL Mobile come in different color schemes?
At the moment, it’s only available in the default theme.

Why would I want “Color Scheme” under my name? Who needs to know what I'm using?
Joe invented that like 5 or 6 years ago to help raise awareness about the different color schemes at ATRL, which were new at the time. It's one of those things that have been part of ATRL’s make up for a long time.

How do I change my color scheme?
Go to preferences -> under Miscellaneous Options, specifically Color Scheme, choose your color theme.
You can also just scroll to the bottom of any page and click any of the -like images.
