1. Cher

Back in 1974 Cher dazzled onlookers at the Romantic and Glamorous Hollywood Design Exhibition, with this sheer, feathery number. At this year's MTV Video Awards, some 36 years later, Cher wore a see-through back outfit, reminiscent of the outfits she wore back in the 70s and 80s. It just goes to show, just because you are in you sixties, it doesn't mean you have to hang up your feathers, sequins and skimpy leotards.
2. Rose McGowan

Former fiance of musician Marilyn Manson, Rose McGowan knows how to shock. She wore this beaded number, which may be confused with a few pieces of thread, to the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards in California. With a leopard print thong being the only real 'cover' in the outfit, the actress probably wouldn't have needed a dry-cleaner for this dress.
3. Lil' Kim

Ex Pussycat Doll and Lady Marmalade singer, Lil Kim, is known for her bright, skimpy costumes that leave little to the imagination. At the 1999 MTV Music Video Awards in New York City, she stayed true to her form, bringing a new definition to the colour purple.
4. Madonna
http://l.yimg.com/ea/img/-/100916/madonna_1693ajm-1693aju.jpg?x=423&q=80&n=1&sig=qq2zmNp4yf2LkIGBE_X5qA--
With Madonna came fantastical costumes, provocative dancing, and an icon who challenged the norms of conventional society. This famous look was worn on her 1990 Blonde Ambition concert tour, and while not greatly risque, caused a stir at the time. It added to her legendary wardrobe of garters, lacy stockings, and corsets, with the controversy surrounding her only serving to increase Madonna's popularity.
5. Jennifer Lopez
http://l.yimg.com/ea/img/-/100916/lopez_1693aj1-1693ajs.jpg?x=426&q=80&n=1&sig=1nH2Ek2Hdz_BupfZs4qJsw--
At the Grammy Awards in 2000, Jenny from the block introduced us to this exotic Versace creation. While controversial at the time, the plunging neck-line style soon became a fashion craze, and today would be considered no more risque than a miniskirt.
6. Bjork
http://l.yimg.com/ea/img/-/100916/bjork_1693aj8-1693ajt.jpg?x=410&q=80&n=1&sig=grm55mGISY67kY_WsoIozA--
At the 73rd Annual Academy Awards in 2001, Bjork embraced her inner swan, by wearing one on the outside. The tutu-esque number was created by Marjan Pejoski, and while not particularly revealing, it was just too memorable to leave off this list. Wonder if she kept any ugly ducklings in her handbag.
7. Christina Aguilera :worship2:
http://l.yimg.com/ea/img/-/100916/christina_aguilera_1693aj4-1693ajt.jpg?x=401&q=80&n=1&sig=cKWVTNpOuKXSmDS7qUus.A--
During her 'Dirty' phase, Christina Aguilera enjoyed the freedom of bottomless chaps, and wasn't afraid to upset her more conservative critics by wearing similar burlesque numbers in her 'Stripped' tour of 2002. The period was a transitional time in Aguilera's music career, helping her to refine a unique musical style and detach herself from her Mickey Mouse Club beginnings.
8. Lady Gaga http://i43.tinypic.com/21l1jlz.jpg

Lady Gaga is arguably an unstoppable, unpredictable, creative genius of the music world today. Whether you define her style as eccentric, artistic, or just plain ridiculous, you have to admit, she's one of a kind! At this year's MTV Video Music Awards, she took the concept of seeing someone as 'a piece of meat,' to a whole new level. Her meaty dress, paired perfectly with meat boots and a meat head-piece, was the talk of tinseltown.
9. Amy Winehouse
http://l.yimg.com/ea/img/-/100916/amy_winehouse_1693ajc-1693ajt.jpg?x=434&q=80&n=1&sig=HwR5NfSEB7u1XuzWg4fv7A--
Ms Winehouse made a surprise appearance with Mark Ronson at the 100 Club on July 6 2010 in London; and it would seem she was not the only one. Winehouse employed the 'bra as top' trend, also used by the likes of Courtney Love and Lady Gaga.
10. Miley Cyrus :banana8:

Starlet Miley Ray Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, found fame as Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. With an enormous following of teenagers and pre-teens, Cyrus has been criticized for her more recent choice of outfits, which some say send the wrong message to her young fan base. Posing here at the Annual MuchMusic Awards in Toronto Canada, Cyrus also recently kissed a female back-up dancer on stage for Britain's Got Talent.
