I honestly didn't care for Ghost that much, it was good but unlike most members here, it didn't blow me away.

I can totally see why it flopped on radios.

This got a better chance to do something, though, she lost the first single hype around her.

That is dumb. If you look at the top ten in mostly all Americans. It is really hard for a home grown Canadian artist to sustain radio play even with CRTC. Most of the Canadians who want sustain radio play usually hooks up is a International known artist. Look up Kardinal Offishall. He started getting major radio play only when he hooked up Akon.

Well that's what I'm saying - Canadian radio mostly plays the dumb sheep and rarely takes risks. It's unfortunate that a song like Ghost probably couldn't get top 10 if if weren't for CanCon rules and I shudder to think what the charts might look like if it weren't for them. Tbh I don't think CRTC should have abandoned its rule that English stations can only play 50% of the top 40 of the American Hot 100, it would help free up space for both Canadian and non-American international acts.

I love "Ghost", but didn't mean she was going completely mainstream...and this sounds too much like so many songs. But it's not bad I guess..
