it took her over 3 years to follow up "Dangerously in Love". I have a feeling it'll be a while before we hear new material from Beyonce, after all, "B'Day" has only been out for 9 months. The gap between "B'Day" and the next album will probably be shorter though because she's no longer sidetracked with Destiny's Child.

i can't exactly blame someone for being an "urban hater"...because urban music is perhaps the worst, most sorry excuse for music these days (c'mon people, get a little class, songs like Buy You a Drank, Party Like a Rockstar, Big S*** Poppin', and Lip Gloss are just downright embarassments). I will be the first to admit there are some very credible and worthwhile black artists out there today, but very few (if any) of them ever make it onto the TRL countdown, much less the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. The problem with most urban music these days is how degrading and shockingly insipid it is. It is beyond me how these unmelodic, repetive, monotone, and intentionally annoying songs become so successful.

well, each to their own i guess. obviously i'm not going to physically stop you from listening to these songs and if that's your thing, than by all means i think you should enjoy it. i'm just tired of it, it's obnoxious and really, music is going down the toilet these days--especially in urban music where most songs just rely on a repetitive beat and over-the-top lyrics. oh well though...

i can't exactly blame someone for being an "urban hater"...because urban music is perhaps the worst, most sorry excuse for music these days (c'mon people, get a little class, songs like Buy You a Drank, Party Like a Rockstar, Big S*** Poppin', and Lip Gloss are just downright embarassments). I will be the first to admit there are some very credible and worthwhile black artists out there today, but very few (if any) of them ever make it onto the TRL countdown, much less the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. The problem with most urban music these days is how degrading and shockingly insipid it is. It is beyond me how these unmelodic, repetive, monotone, and intentionally annoying songs become so successful.

The reason people single out Mike when it comes to bashing urban music, is because he is excessive with it. Then again, he's excessive with any artist he hates. Also, in case anyone was living under a rock last year, he's known to say some pretty racist **** towards black artists. Is because the song was released on 2004 and yeah, she had like damn strong downloads, but this digital downloads didn´t count till 2005 on Billboard, so, even when she still had strong downloads on 2005, it wasnt the same....................

This 2005 digital points plus the heavy airplay give her the number 9 position............

Also, Billboard didn't count digital downloads until February, 2005.
