Is it sad that for most of the night I wondered how she, walking on a table and avoiding lipping for most of the thing (which some acts should consider doing) was more interesting than what was on my screen?

Jack White as the interval act. Nufff said.

I may personally not like "Hurt" and not like it being the next single and may be ignored that she has all the trappings of the 20s/30s/40s but clearly has no clue what that means I could have been knocked over with how well she sould the song. Probably her best performance ever.

+06No Video Game Awards
While the MTV2 award was ignored (and rightfully, since Jared Leto won it), the fact that MTV's stupid move into game awards was quietly ignored, even in the tech presentation. That makes me very happy.

+05 Hype Williams Tribute
While he is responsible for Sasha McBee dancing in a vagina and Ne-yo being snowed on, Hype is still the ****. And having Busta and Missy rap their hits was awesome. Especially Missy. in the jeep. in the garbage suit. with the fingerwave.

+04 Shakira performance
If Shaki smiled while shopping for groceries, she'd look like she was having a blast. Loved the fact that (while off) she went live and did the dancing. Loved the extras. Even liked 'clef in it.

+03 Snoop's Bitchface
His face after the Pussycat Dolls won Best Dance vid was impressive. it rivals Mutya exBabe in the fierceness displayed. Clearly he got blown by the tranny in the group (6 guesses to who s/he is) or Nicole did not finish.

+02 Pink's Acceptance Speech
Was it in bad taste? hells yes. Byt the snotty look when she won, the faux hair flip, the ditz act over the trophy, the nod to Jive being home of morons and the Paris "over-the-shoulder" final statement was brill on many levels. Way to rock it!

+01 OK GO performance
So they lipped. And they spaced a couple minor things. But doing the Treadmill dance on stage live was major awesomeness. And their excitement for pulling it off made it more awesome.

Jack Black tanked from the start and never recovered. Sarah Silverman seemed more stilted and less funny. The scripted bits sucked as usuall. And Thje Angry Tranny did a nod to the stupidest title ever made...by her (Push Your Tush). Bad MTV.

So you like B.B. and your name is Six. If you're gonna crash the show, try crashing during a really sucky moment, like when Jack Black was on stage. Of course, considering when he crashed, it was a slight improvement.

OK, I love Wildboyz cuz its dumb as hell. But that's it. So the boys who need to grow up annoyed a lot. And is Wee Man humping Bam a precursor to the full blown gay orgy I figure they are planning for the final film in that trilogy?

When a rapper relies on LIPPIN it's bad. When he sounds bored and like ****, it's worse. Apparently Luda and Pharell were blwoing Jon Norris before the performance and just didn't care about life anymore, hence that lifeless and ****** showing.

-06 Pussycat Dolls Acceptance Speech
True, someone other than Nicole spoke. But when this rivals Brook Hogan's "speech" for Best Gillz in length and stupidity it's sad. Ladies, you won on MTV for looking like hos that 14 years olds love. It's not a Nobel Prize. But the six speeches down, hid the **** falling out of the skirt and let Nicole only speak. And just say no to the Solid Gold Dancer look.

Mike...um...in case you didn't know. You did not win for a video. You won FOR A RINGTONE. THAT MEANS PEOPLE LIKE HEARING A SONG ON THEIR PHONE. You only thank that droll woman "singing" and the kids who spammed on their Virgin Mobiles and move on. You DON'T thank Linkin Park since they didn't do it and like Chester would care.

Finally saw "Miss Murder" and I see a debut this week. Saw AFI's outfits and feared for my eyes. Davey has more titty than Ciara and the guys wore a vast array of upsetting jeans. When wedgies and moose knuckles on skinny white boys are seen, it makes me want to kill people.

-03 All-American Rejects performance
While many bands *coughPaniccough* sounded like ****, Tom Welling or whoever that jackhole is sounds like he finished Jon off for Luda and swallowed it all up before performing. Is being drunk on MTV legal and if so why did it not help him closer to something pleasant?

Raving loon? Check! Decent from celing? Yep! Way too many people on stage? Sure! Useless dancing? As always! Screaming in key? What she does best! Showing that she is a part of the Rhythm Nation? That was a new one. Janet gonna cut her for that dance break.

My problem was letting every category be a Viewers Choice Award. And when the MySpacers vote en mass for a poor knockoff of My Chemical Romance, it gets gratting. Sure, no one dominated like Madge in '98 or Em in 2000 but when you see obvious faves like Shaki settile for a tech award, something is still off with the system. Back to the blue-ribbon panel with you!

In the grocery store and, for some reason, outside a Catholic school Faith gets her Beyonce "I've Lost My F'n Mind" act on. Sad, really.

Besides the Brunette tumbling down a chair, we had Nordic Harajukus and KFed Clones botching steps and dropping keys, bizarre hand motions meant for emoting, strippers unable to cover their asses when they hang upside down and lots of mistimed steps. Good comedy, bad show.

-06 Akon's Mess of a Performance
Three songs in two minutes and Snoop is there for three bars? And all he mostly does is throw paper confetti at poorly made strippers? Why are there 27 guys and 6 women? Why is there a pole dancer who clearly needs to work on the pole some more? Why does Akon sound like he's younger than Jibbs? And who decided that should close the show?

-05 Fall Out Boys Performance
Was that a song? I heard screaming, what I think was grunting, more screaming, then Penis Boy taking about how this was for the guys who can't dance. Extra neg to Babyface. If you produced that mess, I hope you closed up shop. Then again, FOB always sounds like **** live, so this was a weird misstep on the AMAs part.

-04 Nelly Furtado's performance
This is sad. I personally love "Say It Right" and yet this was a complete mess. Considering the light play and lack of video love from MTV, this was needed to excell to help the song. Instead, it sounded like Nelly was the space alien with the loudness of the backing track, while featuring a guy who either suffered from Tourettes or was a replacement for Timba. Nelly hun, love ya but didn't like this perf. Or your incessant need for that damn blunt bang look.

-03 Rascal Flatts performance
While considering this is one of the better perfs from them, the big ole lead singer can. not. sing. And what's worse, he was extra pudgy and squeezed in tight ass jeans. Tight enough to make me blind from the sight of his moose knuckles. Seriously, if you a tad on the pudge side, looser jeans are fine. Your balls will thank you.

Speaking of blunt bangs, Gwen needs to set that wig on fire. This is definitly not a song to be done live, since Gwen really can't sing all that well. The drummers on the spinny stage were good, the Nordic Harajuku Girls and the KFed Clones were not. And if what Gwen was wearing was from her fashion line, then Gavin was right in fixing his car.

How is what Carrie wore worse than Gwen, Rascal or FOB? She wore formal shorts. Under some emo wedding dress. And showed everyone she was wearing it. I watched the opening with my parent and my mom yelled "What the **** is that" when she saw them. What's the difference between US and UK edit for "Stop Me"?

The UK edit has some poor fat slob finding some running shoes on the side of the road and taking them. As punishment, the shoes get onto his feet and give him Restless Leg Sydrome and cause him to run nonstop, only occasionally stopping to look at some girl runners. He finally loses enough weight to slip out of the shoes after collapsing, only for someone else to take them.

The US edit has Daniel Merrieweather lipping in a bar while some girl wanders on the streets. Meanwhile, everyone everywhere is crying blue crayon teans drawn onto the film, which flow everywhere and make their way to Daniel, who is slowly covered in the bar by the tears (as is everyone else).
