Evanescence singer AMY LEE is being sued by her former management company over alleged unpaid commissions.
Rider Management bosses insist Lee owes them a minimum of $10 million (GBP5.5 million) after charging her with withholding commissions from them.

In response, Lee has filed a countersuit that includes Sexual Assault in a long list of charges.

Singer Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE has sued her former manager, Dennis Rider of Rider Management, for breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, conversion, sexual assault and battery, and other claims.

Wow, that's a long list of accusations, added to the point that I fail to see how he can claim $10,000,000 in commissions. Also the list includes a number of things that they can verify e.g. through the credit card companies, so if her lawyers made it up they'd be pathetically over paid dimwits who should know better. So there's more doubt on his side and for all of the sexual charges, if his wife adds to the testimony against him and they get his mistresses it will help but it's hard to help or prove anything properly without tons of prejudiced opinions getting in the way in court and the inability to prove based on personal accounts against each other and then flawed or ignorant character witnesses.

It's usually the other way round where a band or artist doesn't get paid enough and the manager takes too much, I would have thought it'd be harder for the artist/band to withold money from the person/company in charge of their dealings but it does depend on the arrangement e.g. if the star(s) leave for other management and the old management think they owe funds afterwards i.e. Orlando Bloom's current case. Also, if it's true how come he's just suing Amy?

They need to release an album. I hope this doesn't get in the way.

I agree with that the whole band should be sued, but who knows whats really going on anyway. I'm sure this will get settled somehow, Amy's not going to give out $10 000 000 thats for sure.

Gonna be good to see how it plays out.
